São Luís International Film Festival
The first edition of the International Film Festival of São Luís happened in July 2017 at Cine Praia Grande, located in the Historical Center of the city. The event presented an international overview of contemporary cinema, rescuing great classic titles, and also honoring Affonso Beato, famous director of photography. The theme of the festival was “diversity”. The logo was based on the contrast icon, in order to represent the human differences.
Logo + Concept.
My role in the project was to create the visual identity, as well as designing the printed programme and the official poster. The identity was based on VHS glitch, making reference to the newest generation of movie buffs, who grew up watching movies on TV and videotapes. The use of primary RGB colors had the intention to evidence diversity.
The photo collage presented on the poster, the animation, and the programme was courtesy of Amanda Viégas Aramaki.
